Atlanta’s Ponce de Leon Avenue is already home
to some impressive neighborhood eateries that have served resident diners for
years. Well, there’s another restaurant that goes by the name of Deckard’s
Kitchen & Kegs that provides a twist to the traditional. It offers a nice combination of bar food with classic
entrees recipes to cater to every guest. It also seeks to prove that less refined
restaurants can compete with their upper crust competitors with little effort.
Created by Matt Deckard, former executive chef
at Taco Mac, Deckard’s Kitchen & Kegs brings the crowd-pleasing sports bar
food that always satisfies and combines it with creative takes on classic
entrees that elevate the menu in style. With a vast menu that is sure to give
diners a trying time deciding what to order, there a several standouts that are
definitely worth a try. In addition to entrée serving-size appetizers,
sandwiches and burgers, there are also dishes like a chorizo burger topped with
jalapeno cilantro relish and queso fresco, Sausalito linguine, Scotch eggs and fries
with pepper gravy.
Welcoming earth tones populate Kitchen &
Kegs, which is just what this establishment needs to win over potential new diners in the
hopes they become regulars. Aside from the food, one of the best things about
this place is that everything is reasonably priced, with daily lunch and dinner
specials a permanent fixture.
