Orchid Daze: Gorgeous Meets Glass

Orchids meet their match February 7 – April 5 when the annual orchid exhibition highlights vibrant contemporary art glass. This year’s theme is Orchid Daze: Gorgeous Meets Glass.

The renowned Fuqua Orchid Center features exquisite species orchids from the permanent collection, the largest in the United States, as well as hybrid blooms chosen specifically for the event. Displayed among the sea of colorful and exotic flowers is an exhibition of contemporary art glass curated by Seranda Vespermann of Vespermann – Cooper Gallery, a fixture on the Atlanta art scene for 25 years.

The exhibition features a variety of about 50 imaginative pieces of glass of different styles and techniques. Brilliant colors and organic forms by 11 well-known artists from throughout the U.S. blend beautifully with the orchid collection. Glass sales benefit the mission-based programs of the Garden.
