The broadcast was broken down into 30 minute news segments and paved the way for the many news-only stations that have launched in the past 30 years. Even with this explosion of mass media, CNN has remained the leader and most recognized name in the news business. May is a busy time of year on the concert front as many artists hit the road to kick-off their respective summer tours. The Atlanta area will certainly be a hotbed of such concerts as major headlining acts like Dave Matthews Band and Jason Aldean are set to take the stage.

On April 15, 1912, Titanic, the world’s largest and most iconic Ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  100 years later on April 6, RMS Titanic, Inc. will pay tribute to the legendary story when it opens Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Atlantic Station Premier Exhibition Center.

The Festival on Ponce is a local arts and crafts event held at the Olmsted Linear Park in Atlanta. The Olmsted Linear Park Alliance has a $10 million capital improvement plan to protect these historic parks. These beautiful parks have lovely trees and paths and great visibility from one of Atlanta's main traffic arteries between Atlanta and Decatur.

Atlanta will be the place to be this April as the city will once again play host to a variety of sports, concerts, theater and comedy events.   With so many things to do in Atlanta it’s always important to plan ahead as many of these events can be sold out and tickets difficult to obtain.

The 76th annual Master's Tournament will take place in the city of Augusta Georgia at Augusta National Golf Club April 5-8, 2012.

The 2012 PGA Tour Championship by Coca-Cola will be at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta GA from Sept 17-23.

Atlanta will be the home of the 2012 NCAA Tournament South Regional.  In March college hoops fans from all over the country will be migrating to Atlanta to take in some of the best basketball in the country.

Finding something to do in Atlanta is never much of a challenge. Atlanta is one of the largest and fasting growing cities in the U.S.
