The East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA is the permanent home to the PGA Tour Championship. Coca-Cola is sponsoring the 2012 Tour Championship which takes place September 17-23.
The East Lake Golf Club is home to the legendary amateur golfer Bobby Jones. Jones is the most successful amateur to ever compete at the professional level. During the peak of his golfing career from 1923-1930, Jones dominated amateur play and competed successfully against many professionals of that time.
The East Lake Golf Club is rich in history as well as philanthropic endeavors. The club has contributed millions of dollars to Atlanta's public housing projects, turning some of the worst projects into thriving mixed-income communities.
