It's a great day in Atlanta, especially for the culinary obsessed, when one of the city's more popular restaurants decides to expand to another convenient location. In this instance, it happens to be the date night/coffehouse/late night dining oasis known as Café Intermezzo, as they announce their intention to open a second location at 12th and Midtown, which will replace the current Brookwood establishment.

Spanning four city blocks, 12th & Midtown will be a mixed-use development featuring office towers, luxury hotels, premium residences, renowned restaurants and flagship retail stores. It is set to be located at the intersection of Peachtree and 12th Street and is striving to be akin to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Some of Atlanta’s finest establishments like Café Intermezzo, as well as a few new kids on the block, should find a welcome home at what is guaranteed to be a city hot spot.

Opening in November 2012, Café Intermezzo joins other eateries at 12th & Midtown, including STK, Asselina Cucina, RiRa Irish Pub, RA Sushi, Mi Cocina and Piola. For those worried that a new location means a new menu or a loss of your favorite Intermezzo offerings, you can breathe a sigh of relief because all will remain the same, with the only change being the address.

Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming Café Intermezzo location, as well as what Atlantans can expect from the 12th & Midtown mixed-use complex in its entirety.
