The official source of what's happening in Atlanta, GA
As one of Atlanta’s greatest landmarks, Piedmont Park plays host to a number of events year round. They run the gamut from concerts and athletic events to fairs and festivals. The latest festival to call Piedmont Park home is the Piedmont Park Summer Art & Crafts Festival that will showcase some of the Southeast’s best artists and craftsmen. When you combine the beautifully lush gardens of the park with food, fun, art and entertainment, it’s hard to go wrong.
The Piedmont Park Summer Art & Crafts Festival is hosted by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces (AFFPS) and takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 18th and 19th. Event times are Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 11am-6pm. This is the inaugural year for this event, so expect lots of surprises and enthusiasm from both festival goers and participants. Arguably the best thing about this one of a kind event is that it is free and open to the public, making it virtually impossible to resist.
The festival will feature up to 200 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalworkers, glass blowers, jewelers and crafters! In addition, there will also be artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, a Street Market, children's play area plus festival foods and beverages with healthy alternatives. The Piedmont Park Art & Crafts Festival aims to bring back tradition and artistry to the art community of Atlanta.
Piedmont Park is located at 400 Park Dr. NE Atlanta, GA 30306 404-875-7275
