It’s no secret that Atlanta is a well-known and well-respected haven for diverse genres of music, and although not as mainstream, jazz has a home here as well. The Georgia Symphony Orchestra is one of Atlanta’s most popular musical outfits, and they are set to bring their jazz ensemble stylings to Marietta Square. Get ready to let the smooth sounds of jazz carry you away!

Georgia Symphony Orchestra presents Sam Skelton and his big band jazz ensemble to historic Marietta Square on Saturday, August 25th at 8pm. Playing a tuneful mix of big band standards as well as original takes on some classics, this concert is great for die-hard jazz lovers, as well as novices hoping to expand upon their musical tastes.

In addition to beautiful music and a great atmosphere, attendees are also encouraged to bring a food item to be donated to Must Ministries for a chance to be entered into a drawing for free Georgia Symphony Orchestra tickets. Marietta Square is known throughout the year to play host to several of the most anticipated events in Atlanta, and this one is certainly no exception.

This event is free and open to the public, however if you are interested in reserving a table for preferred seating to enhance you concert experience, feel free to visit https://secure.mariettaga.gov/concerts/tables.aspx?concert=August+25%2c+2012+-+GSO+Jazz .
