The holiday season is filled with events attended and memories made, featuring your family and friends, but one of the most endearing things about the season is the truly magical element it possess. The rest of the year can be business as usual, but during the holidays you allow yourself to embrace your inner child and believe in dreams and fairytales. A fairytale is exactly what has set up shop at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, as Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is currently playing to inspired and spirit-filled crowds. Come enjoy the beloved fairytale just in time for the holiday season!

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, has returned to Atlanta as part of the 2012-13 Fifth Third Bank “Broadway in Atlanta” season. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production comes to life on stage at the Fox Theatre now through December 2. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast features the animated film’s Academy Award®-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton. The original creators of the Broadway production are together again for this new touring production.

The play is directed by Rob Roth who describes how it feels to be directing such beloved stage adaptation of the classic fairytale and getting his team back together. “It has been wonderful to bring the entire original design team back together to work on this new production of Beauty and the Beast. As a director, it is rare to have the opportunity to revisit your work fifteen years later. [My team and I] have remained very close over the years of producing the show around the world, and it has been so much fun getting together to re-explore and re-invent the show.”
