The official source of what's happening in Atlanta, GA
To sit and count the overabundant feature films, television adaptations and plays derived from A Christmas Carol would be quite the lengthy task. Let’s face it, it is the perennial Christmas story that has endeared audiences throughout decades with its tale of faith, hope and right and wrong. Atlanta offers up its own take on this legendary holiday tale, with the Alliance Theatre hosting a production of A Christmas Carol throughout the holiday season. No matter how many times you see it, it’s almost impossible to resist the morality tale of one Ebenezer Scrooge.
Come see some of Atlanta's finest actors in this magnificent staging of Charles Dickens's classic Christmas tale. In case you have forgotten the story, despite how unlikely it is at this point, on Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by four ghosts offering perspective: his old partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. This is a magical tradition for the whole family, and a great way to see the work of Atlanta's best actors portraying Dickens's beloved characters.
