Look for The Smoke Ring and you will know you are in the right place.

The Castleberry Neighborhood is getting just a little bit sweeter. 101 Concepts, an Atlanta-based restaurant group and the masterminds behind Food 101, Cibo e Beve and Meehan’s Public House, announced in a press release on Friday its newest concept, Smoke Ring, a barbecue restaurant, is slated to open September 17, 2013.

Executive Chef Jordan Wakefield and wife/partner Erin Leigh Wakefield will be heading up the entire operation. This southern-inspired food and drink menu will include signature starters, such as Signature starters include Smoke Ring Jerky, Crispy Pig Ear “Fries” (Chipotle Dusted with White BBQ Sauce) and BBQ Deviled Eggs (BBQ Seasoning, Bacon and Bourbon Marmalade, and Chive). Featured entrées include a variety of sliders, small plates, sandwiches, soups, salads and BBQ plates. Smoke Ring will feature southern elixirs, as well as Georgia wines, beers and moonshine.

In the release, Wakefield stated, “Barbecue is a comfort food for so many people, especially southerners. I want to share my passion of barbecue and everything southern with our guests and the Castleberry Hill neighborhood.”

The Smoke Ring will be located at 309 Nelson Street, in the Castleberry Hill Neighborhood. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week for Lunch, Dinner and weekend Brunch. They will offer catering and to-go services as well. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m.
