This 21 acre park, located in Downtown Atlanta, was built by the Atlanta Committee for the 1996 Olympic Summer Games. Now, the park is home to many events year round. In the summer, Centennial Park hosts the Wednesday WindDown, a popular summer concert series. On the Fourth of July, you can find a concert with fireworks in the park. Some of Centennial's features are what makes it the most memorable. The Fountain of Rings is a popular fountain in the area. This fountain utilizes computer controlled lights and water features allowing people of all ages to run around in the water. If you walk through the park, you will see thousands of engraved bricks. These bricks were all purchased and have a personalized message on them. This park, originally built for the 1996 Olympic Summer Games is now enjoyed by the residents of Downtown Atlanta.
