For sale: an '88 Merc "Classic Fifty" 45 HP Outboard in fair to good condition with steering kit, remote throttle, and tachometer. I picked this up for a project boat two years ago and never got around to the project...now it's just taking up space in my garage. The previous owner started it up for me before I bought it, but it hasn't been run since. So...sold as is. I'm sure it needs some general maintenance, but this is supposed to be a fairly bullet-proof motor. $600 cash, OBO. I really want to get rid of this thing, so make me an offer. Will also consider 1-for-1 trade for a decent kayak w/ rudder or possibly a smaller outboard with tiller steering.
