In celebration of National Recovery Month, the Brighter Tomorrows Foundation will host the 6th Annual Walk of HEROes 5K and Tot Trot on Saturday, September 22, 2012 in the historic Kirkwood community. This charity event includes refreshments, music, drawing prizes and awards and will benefit DeKalb residents with mental illnesses, substance addictions and developmental disabilities served by DeKalb Community Service Board. Pre-registration fee is $20 for general public, $15 for DeKalb CSB staff and $15 for anyone receiving mental health, developmental disabilities or substance addiction services. Pre-registration fee for Tot Trot is $7. Must register by September 7th to be guaranteed a T-shirt! Fees increase the day of the race.
