East of DeKalb County you will find one of the metro area's little secrets: Rockdale County.

Many people do not fully realize the high quality of life that Rockdale County residents enjoy. The county seat of Conyers combines rapid development with small-town charm. Old Towne Conyers takes you back to the early 1900s. The old train depot has been restored and is used for meetings and reception. The Rogers steam locomotive, one of only three in the world, is cared for tenderly by the Historical Society. And tree-lined streets of historic homes are maintained by loving homeowners. Major development occurred around the interstate connections in Conyers (I-20 and Highway 138). Homes are well-built and offer much for your money. And the area is beginning to receive more attention since the opening of the Georgia International Horse Park. This state-of-art equestrian center is also an outdoor arena that is used for special events of all types.
