4th Swift Names New Bar Manager Unveils Fall Cocktail Menu

The fall season is a time of changes and renewal, even within the restaurant industry. The changes at one Atlanta eatery should make customers very happy. 4 th & Swift has announced big changes just in time for fall and if you loved this restaurant hotspot before, you're about to be totally obsessed! Autumn brings new seasonal ingredients to the table and fresh drink concepts behind the bar at 4th and Swift. With new bar manager Chris Gianaras overseeing the shaking and pouring, the restaurant unveils an updated list of cocktails .

Gianaras originally joined the 4th & Swift team in 2008 and has held several positions in the past five years including food runner, server and part-time bar manager. His longstanding commitment to 4th & Swift has helped Gianaras develop a deep understanding of the restaurant's philosophy, culture and expectations, while giving him freedom to explore boundless concoctions behind the bar. "I was originally attracted to 4th & Swift's commitment to the farm-to-table concept," says Gianaras. "As bar manager, I aspire to create innovative cocktails that align with the restaurant's sustainable mission while catering to the modern, adventurous palette."

Gianaras gives a fresh perspective to cocktails, using the same creativity that chefs use to dream up dishes. Unique flavors are achieved by using ingredients fresh from the restaurant's urban garden and borrowing special tools and techniques from the kitchen. He is especially attracted to the versatility of gin, tequila and bourbon, which can be seen in this season's menu. Highlights from the new cocktail menu include the "Blood Meridian " featuring Bellringer gin, Poire Williams, blood orange juice, Ferrand Dry Curacao and honey; "Under the Volcano " with el Jimador Blanco, Varnelli Punch, Tempus Fugit Cacao, demerara, lemon and chocolate bitters; and "Days of Heaven " with Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Benedictine, lemon, wild rice syrup, Crispin cider and apple bitters.
