9th Annual German Bierfest

There's a funny thing about beer. It's largely considered here in the States as an American indulegence. However, it has a worldly dominance and influence that we are just the fortunate recipients of. One way to celebrate just how popular beer is in other parts of the world is to come on out and enjoy a day of fun at the 9th annual German Bierfest. Drink up, this should be good! Every summer at Atlanta's Woodruff Park, the German Bierfest is held as a celebration of authentic German beer. The 9th annual event on Saturday, August 25th from 2pm-7pm offers guests more than just all the beer they can drink.

There are a host of other activities to choose from. Complete with German food, activities for the kids, music and fun, the German Bierfest is not only the only authentic German Bierfest in Atlanta, but the only family-friendly beer festival as well. Some of the beers on hand are: Jever, Beck's, Krombacher, Tucher and Bitburger.

Additional activities include music by Schlager and Party Music and a Kids Zone courtesy of the Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Bocce League. Tickets include all the beer the ticket-holder can safely consume. Tickets will be available online for $35, then $40 at the door the day of the event. Designated Drivers and non-drinkers may reserve a free ticket online or pay $10 at the door. Children (15 and under) attend for free. For more information visit www.germanbierfest.com/ .
