Atlanta Botanical Garden Blooms Annual Fundraiser

Giving back is in full bloom, as the Atlanta Botanical Garden is once again set to hold its annual fundraiser, the Garden of Eden Ball. Believe it or not, it not only takes time, care and skill to care for the city's most beloved gardens, it also requires a sufficient amount of monetary contributions. That is why this fundraiser is so important to not only the Atlanta Botanical Garden, but those that love to frequent its beauty.

A full-on black-tie affair, the Garden of Eden Ball, is scheduled to take place Saturday night, September 29 th at 6:30pm. This year's theme is A Celebration of the Seasons , which celebrates the completion of the New Seasons Capital and Endowment Campaign. The New Seasons donors will be honored for making the Hardin Visitor Center, SAGE Parking Facility, Kendeda Canopy Walk, Edible Garden, and Cascades Garden possible. The 2012 event is co-chaired by Paula Dickey and Kim Lape, who have planned what is sure to be an unforgettable evening. The Garden of Eden Ball begins with cocktails in Levy Parterre followed by a three-course dinner in an alluring tented ballroom on the Great Lawn.

Designed by Parties to Die For, the setting will shimmer in shades of gold paired with pale aqua and white. Afterward, Big Blast and the Party Masters will keep guests on their toes with fresh renditions of popular dance music from the decades. Tickets for this event are $475 and can be purchased by calling 404-591-1537 or emailing cwilliams@atlantabotanicalgarden.org . As always, the mission of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment.
