CounterPoint Festival Debuts in Atlanta

Over the last few years, it seems as though Atlanta has become the new hotspot for music festivals, with new ventures popping up all throughout the city. The latest music fest to call Atlanta home is the brand new CounterPoint Festival coming this September, much to the delight of local music fans.

Produced by the organizers of such successful musical festivals as Lollapalooza, Camp Bisco, Lights All Night, Austin City Limits Music Festival and The Echo Project, CounterPoint is an inaugural music fest for Atlantans to indulge in music from independent and well-known acts alike. Located just 30 minutes outside of downtown, the multi-stage festival will be held at the location of 2007's The Echo Project, which is a 350-acre Chattahoochee river front populated with scenic views and lush grounds.

Producers C3 Presents and MCP Presents have high hopes for their first festival collaboration. "As the Southeast's beacon of culture and diversity, Atlanta is the ideal location to launch CounterPoint." states CounterPoint co-producer and MCP partner Brett Keber. "We are partnering with local vendors, restaurants, chefs, breweries, artists and musicians in order to create a world-class event that is also uniquely Atlanta." In a move that is sure to increase anticipation to feverish heights, the performance line-up for the festival won't be announced until closer to the premiere date, which is set for September 28 th and 29 th .

Ticketing details and travel packages are also scheduled to be announced along with performance information. Visit www.counterpointfestival.com for the most up to date information. For more information about the author, Danielle Jennings, please visit my Google+ profile page.
