Eater Atlanta Announces its 2013 Chef of the Year

There are many fabulous chefs that populate our fair city of Atlanta and choosing the best one each year is easily a daunting task that perhaps even the most devoted foodies would have a hard time narrowing down. Well someone's got to do it and that's exactly what the culinary writers and editors over at Eater Atlanta have done, as they have just unveiled their pick for the 2013 "Chef of the Year." Find out which Atlanta chef reigns supreme this year! Tyler Williams, Executive Chef of Woodfire Grill, has been named Eater Atlanta's 2013 Chef of the Year for the second consecutive year. Nominated by local Eater editors, Williams shared the category of five with some of Atlanta's most well-known chefs and narrowed down through a voting process by readers until he was announced the winner this week.

"The Atlanta food scene is awesome right now and it's great to see what talented chefs, bartenders, and restaurateurs are doing in the city. In particular, it's great to see what Tyler's doing to keep things exciting at such a fine dining mainstay like Woodfire Grill," said Eater Atlanta Editor, Sonia Chopra. As Executive Chef of Woodfire Grill, Williams is responsible for creating the constantly evolving daily menu by incorporating seasonal offerings and fresh, local ingredients to create a culinary experience for his customers that are always different than the last.

As a member of Slow Food USA and Georgia Organics, he is dedicated to executing the finest locally sourced, ingredient-driven cuisine at the restaurant. "Chef Williams' keenly refined palate and his daring creativity are the keys to his success," said Nicolas Quinones, Owner and Operator at Woodfire Grill. "His talent is evident to all that know him and Woodfire Grill is thrilled to have Eater Atlanta's two-time winning Chef of the Year as a member of our team." In 2012, Williams was named Chef of the Year by Eater Atlanta and recognized as a 2012 Atlanta Rising Star Chef. As he claims the Eater Atlanta's Chef of the Year title for the second year in a row, Williams continues to strive for excellence and remain a force in the culinary industry.

Most recently Woodfire Grill received four stars from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and three stars from Atlanta Magazine for their culinary offerings.
