Former Atlanta Falcon to Coach at Orangetheory Fitness Studio

On the heels of announcing its first Atlanta location, Orangetheory Fitness Studio has just added a familiar face to its roster as an official coach. Former Atlanta Falcon Verron Haynes has just been announced as a welcomed member to the Orangetheory family when they official open for business this September. Get all the details about the new development below! Orangetheory Fitness ( ), the heart-rate-monitored interval group interval training workout that's sweeping the nation, is set to open its first Atlanta studio in September. Management for Orangetheory Fitness Howell Mill is proud to announce that former Atlanta Falcons running back Verron Haynes will join their opening team as a coach. Born in Trinidad, Verron was instilled with a love for sports at a young age. His father was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago national soccer team. Verron attended the University of Georgia, where he played three successful seasons on the school's football team before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2002 NFL Draft. After seven years and a Super Bowl championship with the Steelers, Verron signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2009.

Two years later, he retired from professional football, but his passion for sports and fitness continued. "I love that Orangetheory Fitness embodies a team mentality in a gym setting," says Verron. "The group sessions have a great energy and keep everyone motivated, said Verron Haynes on his decision to join the opening team. "With this structure, members are more likely to reach their goals with us than if they workout alone. I can't wait to help bring this experience to Atlanta." Verron lives in Atlanta with his wife and children. He serves on the Board of Directors for TurningPoint, a nonprofit that serves survivorship needs of women with breast cancer. Hailed by the New York Times as an effective new plateau-busting workout, Orangetheory Fitness is a dynamic national fitness concept that provides motivational group training at a reasonable price point that yields proven results.

The fast-growing concept is the first heart-rate-monitored, high-intensity interval training based on science. Each unique 60-minute session is broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training led by experienced staff, producing a tremendous metabolic increase and calorie burn for up to 36 hours after the workout. Orangetheory Fitness Howell Mill is located at 857 Collier Road in the Howell Mill Village shopping center. Weekday hours will be 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Memberships, which are valid throughout the Atlanta region, are currently being offered at incentive pricing. To learn more, call 404-455-0402 or visit the studio.
