Give Me Five Event Speads the Love

One of Atlanta's most celebrated and reliable benefits, once again bows its head for the sixth year in a row. Directly benefitting national nonprofit Share Our Strength, the Give Me Five event gathers Georgia's best chefs and sommeliers for an evening that is sure be as fun-filled as it is philanthropic. Share Our Strength is committed to fighting national childhood hunger by providing needy kids with nutritious food to eat.

For the sixth annual Give Me Five event attendees are treated to an evening of exquisite food and wine on Sunday, August 19, at Cherokee Town Club in the beautiful Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Ga. Beginning with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m., guests will enjoy a five-course dinner delicately prepared by acclaimed local chefs with wine pairings selected by the chefs and sommeliers. In addition to the gourmet five-course meal, attendees will enjoy live and silent auctions that will feature a variety of unique items including special donations from each participating chef and live entertainment.

Auction items will include stunning jewelry, rich wines, getaway travel packages and intimate in-home chef dinners. Some of the featured chefs include some of Atlanta's brightest stars within the culinary world. Chef Michael Diehl, Chef Eric Karell, Chef Kevin Gillespie, Chef Pano Karatassos, Chef Anthony Gray and pastry chef Heather Hulbert are all on board to prepare food that is guaranteed to be memorable. Since no meal is complete without the proper wine pairing, renowned sommeliers will also be on hand, including Silvio Garcia, Matt Bradford, Dorine Buche, Andres Loaiza and Niko Karatassos.

The event will be emceed by Atlanta's popular team of Jenn Hobby of Q100's The Bert Show and WSB radio host Scott Slate. Tickets are $275 per person and $2,500 for a table of ten.
