Grant Park Summer Shade Festival

Music, art, kid's fun and a quick run? Just a few of the amazing things scheduled to take place at the 11 th annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival in Atlanta, GA this August. Some of the largest shade trees in all of Atlanta will cool you down while you take in the live music, visit with an artist in your favorite artist's tent while perusing the handmade arts and crafts, make a one-of-a-kind paper hat in the Kids Zone and cool off in a misting tent. Beverage and food stations await you in the vendor marketplace.

Things to do Live Music A festival is only as good as the music it provides. Two stages pump out some of the best tunes from rock, country and everything in between. This year's lineup is not yet available, but previous artists have included: Aaron Stayman, Jimmy Galloway, and the Front Porch Session Players to The Higher Choir, The Old Ceremony, and The Whiskey Gentry. Adams Realtor 5K The festival kicks off with the Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park, helping to raise money for the Grant Park Conservancy. Register here or onsite beginning at 7 a.m. Artist Market For two straight days, enjoy the works of hundreds of local and national artists and shop till you drop! Kid Zone Fun Bring your kid (and the kid in you) to the kid zone! An extensive lineup of performers, artists, storytellers and musicians will grace the kid's stage. Roll up your sleeves and take part in lots of craft activities.
