Jeffery Fashion CaresAbout Atlanta

Sure Atlanta is known for being an entertainment mecca rich with southern hospitality, but there are ways that the city gives back to worthy causes that has nothing to do with filming the next Hollywood blockbuster. Just in time for its 20th anniversary, annual Atlanta fundraiser Jeffrey Fashion Cares is set to take the city by storm through fashion, while doing a lot to benefit those in need. On Monday, August 27 th at 7:30pm Jeffrey Fashion Cares celebrates its milestone 20 th anniversary, so guests can definitely expect a divine spectacle of events. Held at Atlanta's American Cancer Society Center, the event includes a pre-show cocktail reception, live auction, Jeffrey Fashion show and after party at Opera nightclub.

As in previous years, the event chairs are Jeffrey Kalinsky, Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams, who all promise to make this gala bigger and better than ever. To support this claim, the designers for this year's fashion show feature some of the most celebrated within the fashion arena. Notable designers include: Lanvin, Celine, Prada, Marni, Manolo Blahnik, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Jason Wu and Bottega Veneta. If didn't already know, all proceeds from the Jeffrey Fashion Cares event directly benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure --- Greater Atlanta Affiliate, that provides grants to grassroots organizations fighting breast cancer, and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF) which funds HIV/AIDS projects in the metropolitan area.

Last year's sold-out event raised $650,000 for the two organizations, and in its history, Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country. Since this is a fundraiser, there are varying ticket levels and prices, with a large part of tickets available for patrons who want to donate a hefty sum for the benefitted organizations. For sponsorship level tickets, please visit www.jeffreyfashioncares.com for more information. Limited individual tickets however, are $500 for reserved seating which includes entry to the pre-show reception, fashion show and the after party.
