Lenox Square Crowns Winner of Atlantas Next Legend Talent Search

Life for one Atlantan is hopefully about to change forever, that's because Wesley Cook was recently crowned the winner of Lenox Square's talent search "Atlanta's Next Legend." Find out more about Mr. Cook, what he can expect now that he's won and what fellow Atlantans can expect from Lenox Square's annual Fourth of July celebration. Lenox Square is thrilled to announce that Wesley Cook has been crowned as winner of "Atlanta's Next Legend."

Looking to gain exposure and jump start his career, Cook entered the mall's inaugural talent search and was selected from a number of shining hopefuls. Presented by The Atlantan magazine and Lincoln, Lenox Square's Legendary 4th of July event will offer Cook the opportunity to entertain guests and perform on-stage for his own 20-minute set. He will also win a $500 Simon Giftcard. The Fourth of July event this year promises to be even bigger and better than ever, as performances, food, activities and of course fireworks will be at the highest level.

Having lived in unique locales such as West Germany and South Korea, Cook has always had a life-long passion for music and people. His music is influenced by the familiar rhythms of Dave Matthews, Paul Simon and Jason Mraz, while also capturing a sound that is his own. "Upbeat positivity is a Wes constant, in his music and his attitude", said Rolling Stone Magazine of the blue-eyed singer-songwriter. Combining down-to-earth charm and constant liveliness, Cook attracts a crowd wherever he performs.

Cook released his critically acclaimed, solo acoustic debut album, "We've Been Here Before," in 2005 and has since been on the radar for music fans across Georgia. With a full-band album on Spotify titled "New Ground," Cook has made live appearances on television programs such as FOX 5 Atlanta, CBS Better Mornings Atlanta and 11Alive. He has performed at music festivals such as Atlanta's own Dogwood Festival and 99X Unplugged in the Park, in addition to sharing the stage with nationally recognized talent including Zac Brown, Manchester Orchestra and Marc Broussard.

Featured on MTV2 as an "Artist on the Rise," Cook has been nominated for "Best Alternative Band" by the Georgia Music Awards and "2006 Soloist of the Year" by the Athens Music Awards. He is currently touring and has plans to record a third studio album in winter 2013. For more information about the Lenox Square Fourth of July celebration, visit www.simon.com .
