Lets Consider this a Victory

It looks like another victory for Atlanta! Victory Sandwich Bar is opening another location almost any day now. Officially scheduled to open "late August/early September" in the Atlanta area (the current one is in Decatur), those doors could be flying open faster than you can say, "ghost pepper jack cheese." Known for their unusual sandwich selections, or shall I say, "sandwich works of art," Victory Sandwich Bar is 50% quaint sandwich shop, 50% local pub and 100% rad. Yes, I said rad. While most sandwich shops boast their "five-dollar meal deals" for sandwiches of certain sizes (this chain shall remain nameless) Victory gives you a $20 sandwich for less than spare change you can find in your car. Okay, maybe not that cheap, but pretty darn close. With all their famous sandwiches coming in at a whopping $4, you can afford to come back for seconds, thirds and fourths. Not that I wouldn't happily pay $12 for the mile high club (smoked turkey, bacon, avocado, ham, fontina & dijon) but it's nice knowing I don't have to. The sandwich menu only starts here. There are items on the menu that I would never have thought of throwing together in the form of a sandwich, but somehow it works.

In addition to their sandwiches, they do serve salads, sides, soups and tacos, but there is still more. Like I said, this place half pub, so you know their drinks are going to be more than sensational. Their staple drink consists of a classic favorite with a hipster twist. Titled the "world famous Jack & Coke slushy" it needs to be tried in order to be understood. But, it doesn't stop there, either. Pair your sandiwch with any one of Vic's Pick's (a drink menu so fancy you will think you are in a Wes Anderson movie) and you have had dinner and drinks for under $20. Try duplicating that anywhere in the Atlanta area. For more information about the author, Denielle D'Ambrosio, please visit my Google+ profile page.
