Restaurant Spotlight Honey Bubble

Unlike other reviewers of Honey Bubble, Atlanta's new hipster hangout, I'm not going to explain what its signature drink, bubble tea, actually is. Instead, I'm going to let those of you who don't know, either research it on your own before you go or try my favored method, which is to simply dive in and experience it for yourself with no expectations. There can never be too many spots with Wi-Fi, cool atmosphere, prime location and buzz worthy drinks and treats that are practically meant to be shared.

All of these elements are what encompasses the latest Poncey-Highland hotspot known as Honey Bubble. Technology is just as welcomed and expected here as the various flavorful bubble teas themselves. So, if you come armed with a laptop, tablet, smartphone or mp3 player, you are right at home, as you'll like find dozens of your fellow techies. But, the real reason to check out Honey Bubble (such an adorable name by the way) is to sample there eclectic variety of beverages and select sweet treats that are guaranteed to have you coming back more than once a day.

For the bubble tea itself, there are a variety of types to choose from, I suggest trying a few your first time so that you can decide which bubble consistency you prefer. There is Milk Bubble Tea (watermelon green milk tea, passion fruit milk tea, lychee milk tea, honeydew milk tea, lavender milk tea, etc.) and Clear Bubble Tea (honey jasmine green tea, green apple black/green tea, strawberry/mango black/green tea, chamomile honey lemon tea, etc.) There are other more traditional drinks to choose from also. Of course, bubble tea isn't the only thing on the menu, as baked goods are delivered daily from Alon's and Atlanta Cupcake Factory.

Some of the sweet treats include: cupcakes, macaroons, sliced cake, croissants, scones, sorbet and gelato. Honey Bubble is located at 798 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE, Atlanta, 404-835-2009. Operating hours are: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-midnight Fridays-Saturdays; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sundays. For more information visit .
