Restaurant Spotlight Rays on the Creek

Keeping in line with this month's theme of restaurant renovations and updates, another Alpharetta favorite has spiced things up on the inside, with a name change to boot. Formerly known as Ray's at Killer Creek, Ray's on the Creek has undergone a total transformation that includes a full menu revamp, new architectural design and a coastal color palette boasting a brighter interior. Basically, everything that you loved about the old Ray's isn't completely gone, but updated to meet the high standards of the popular Ray's franchise in Atlanta. Atlanta residents are very fond of (and protective) of their Ray's restaurants.

As one of the most popular franchises in the city, diners expect nothing but the best when entering one of their chosen eateries. Ray's on the Creek was already praised for keeping with the tradition of the franchise's stellar reputation, but still felt the need to update things for a fresh offering to customers. The result is a gorgeous interior populated by coastal blue colors that instantly sooth you once you step inside. The updated menu is also an improvement, to your wallet that is because now more dishes are available for under $30. Executive Chef Tracey Bloom is responsible for the revamped menu that faithful customers and newbies are sure to appreciate.

From cold and fresh and shareables, to fresh catch and big plates, there is literally a little something here for every taste bud. Some of the highlights include: Smoked Salmon Platter (Big Green Egg smoked salmon, caper sauce, toast points), Ahi Tacos (fresh tuna, crunchy vegetables and spicy avocado aioli), Ray's "New Orleans" BBQ Shrimp (Cajun-style with BBQ butter sauce and served on a garlic baguette), Block Island Swordfish, Wild Striped Bass, 18-Hour Braised Short Ribs (celery root puree, Swiss chard, red wine sauce) and the Georgia Mountain Trout (green beans, chorizo, soy-sherry butter sauce.) Naturally, as with their other establishments, Ray's on the Creek has a full service bar menu with a wide variety of mixed drinks, signature cocktails, beer and wine.
