Things to do in Atlanta - February 6th-9th

Well, the groundhog saw its shadow and that means a long winter lives ahead of us. Not that its hard to forget considering the mess the last storm blew in, but we can at least try and numb ourselves of the cold in other ways than frostbite. The weekend is upon us and in less than 24 hours, you can begin celebrating another end to your work week, a win on your corporate kickball team and maybe even celebrate an anniversary. Enjoy some basketball, maybe a reading from Abe Lincoln and laugh till your pants fall off (literally!) Stay warm, my friends. Thursday, February 6 SCORE: Sports, Art + Design . SCORE is a city-wide, multi-venue exhibition curated by Hope Cohn that will take place in Atlanta and will celebrate the art and design that informs our wonder and fascination for sports.

At MODA, SCORE will explore contemporary design and technology and their impact on sports and athletic performance through equipment, uniforms, training, and more. Because SCORE is a team effort, other organizations in Atlanta will present SCORE exhibitions simultaneously. These include the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia (MOCA GA) and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Weather Rocks !Weather Rocks!
