Looking for things to do in Atlanta this weekend? Consider this your go-to guide for wining, dining and celebrating your way through one of the greatest cities in the south. This is usually my one of my favorite weekends of the year. The weekend before Halloween tends to get a little crazy in Atlanta and this weekend is no exception. Whether you are looking for some wholesome family fun, or something a little edgier, you will experience it this weekend. The Nutcracker kicks off the holiday season a little early at the Fox Theater while a couple zombie-insprired parties remind us that it is just only Halloween. Have a wonderfully wicked weekend! Friday, October 24 Taste of Atlanta ! After successfully serving up the city's best fare for more than a decade, Taste of Atlanta is back with bigger features and bolder flavors in its 13th year! The legendary three-day food festival returns to Midtown at Tech Square Friday, October 24 - Sunday, October 26, 2014.

Tucker Small Fall Music Festival . The Tucker Small Fall Music Festival is a first of it's kind free family celebration for the advocacy for arts in education. Hosted by Atlanta Music Education, LLC at The Kingfisher Academy, families will enjoy student music performances, local artist demos, kids games and prizes, local food and drink, snow cone food truck, local art vendors and young Atlanta bands on stage. Atlanta Ballet Nutcracker . The season begins with the return of Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker to the Fox Theatre. The whimsical holiday tale takes 20 pounds of snow, eight tons of scenery, lighting, and props, and a 38-foot-tall Christmas tree to make the magic of Marya's unbelievable story come to life. Paint Nite at Rooftop 866 . Cool nights on the patio have never looked better. Sip handcrafted cocktails as you paint the town your favorite color at Rooftop866 in this instructor driven class. Saturday, October 25 Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Balloon Festival . Take the family out for some trick-or-treating, food, and entertainment. Last year's festival was so popular, they've doubled the fun! Which means more food, more music, and more balloons.

Georgia Craft Beer Festival . The Georgia Craft Beer Festival is back for its second installment on Saturday, October 25th at Candler Park. The outdoor festival offers an afternoon of arts, live entertainment, food from the city's top food trucks, and over 100 craft beers to sample! LeChic Mystique . Greetings House Family... LeChic Mystique is back bringing you their 2nd installment of the annual Masquerade House Party. Halloween JamBOOree . Come out to Logan Farm Park for carnival rides, costume contests, and pumpkin carving. Costume contests will be held all day for kids of all ages. In addition, new to this year's festivities is the Best Dog in Costume contest! Sunday, October 26 Atlanta 10 Miler & 5K . In its second year, the Atlanta 10 Miler features an exciting new course that starts and finishes inside Atlantic Station! As the featured second stop for Triple Peach participants, this event is a perfect next step after the AJC Peachtree Road Race and a great final tune-up for the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day. 2nd Annual Vampire Ball "Zombie Apocalypse" for Cystic Fibrosis .

Following a successful inaugural year, the Vampire Ball will return this fall with frightening new twists and more incredible costumes all in the name of raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Georgia. Taking on the theme of "Zombie Apocalypse," this year's event is sure to be spooktacular. The Kickback ATL .
