Things to do this Weekend - Sept 12th to 15th

Atlanta is ready for fall and we welcome the fall season with open arms and open windows. Say goodbye to that humid, summer heat and say hello to crisp winds and cool nights. Fall brings many exciting things for everyone. The NFL and College football has officially kicked-off and our weekends now consist of Saturday BBQ's with old college friends, Sunday fantasy football and Monday nights with friends. But for those of us not obsessed with our fantasy teams and alumni, there are still plenty of things to be seen and had.

Festivals full of pumpkins and fun treats await us as the countdown to Halloween commences. Heavier foods and darker beers haunt us as we prepare for the winter hibernation we all love and dread at the same time. This week, there is no shortage of amazing things to do: Thursday, September 12 th Foodies, beware! Midtown Restaurant Week is sure to leave you wanting more. The neighborhood's top chefs create signature menus that showcase unique flavors, ingredients and cooking styles while encouraging diners to experience new establishments and to return to beloved icons. The week ends on Sunday, September 15 th , so get your fix while you can! Our beloved Peter Rabbit will be playing at the Center for Puppetry Arts through September 22 nd .

Friday, September 13 th Cheer on the Atlanta Braves as they battle the San Diego Padres at 7:30PM at Turner Field. Ticket and Schedule info is available here . Sesame Street Live: Can't Stop Singing kicks off the weekend with a live show of your favorite characters from the hit TV series! The show starts at 10:30 AM and goes through the weekend. Check here for other times and dates. Enjoy an Evening of Blues with Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite. Two of the most influential singers of our time come together for a night of blues and beats. Come to The Tabernacle at 8:30PM and swing the night away. Saturday, September 14 th Cheer on the Atlanta Braves as they battle the San Diego Padres at 7:10PM at Turner Field.

Get there early enough to see your favorite artist and even discover some new favorites! The 7 th Annual Atlanta Arts Festival invades Piedmont Park. Atlanta Arts Festival brings to the drawing board 200 local and nationally recognized artists from an eclectic mix of 12 mediums.
